We are currently seeking a full-time Systems Administrator to join our team and play a crucial
role in maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure.
As a Systems Administrator at Geforce Technologies, you will be responsible for:
- Regularly assess the Geforce and its clients’ computer sites, including servers, network
infrastructure, and associated systems.
- Conduct performance evaluations to identify bottlenecks, areas for improvement, and
potential security risks.
- Promptly respond to service requests and incidents related to server, hardware, and
software malfunctions.
- Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability scans on systems and networks.
- Develop and implement incident response plans to address security breaches and
incidents.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans for critical systems.
- Implement measures to safeguard data, conduct regular backups to mitigate data loss
risks, and ensure that recovery procedures are robust and effective for critical systems
and databases.
- Collaborate with clients, security vendors, suppliers, service providers, and external
resources.
- Monitor for security threats and vulnerabilities, and take proactive measures to protect
Geforce and its clients’ systems.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or
equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role (at least 5 years).
- Strong knowledge of server management, network administration, and IT security.
- Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux/Unix.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
- In-depth knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), CompTIA
Network+, VM Ware Certified Professional (VCP)) are a plus.
- Solid knowledge of POP3/IMAP and Exchange email services.
- in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in managing web servers, specifically Apache,
Nginx, and IIS
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
