DUTIES
• Preparation, cooking and presenting dishes within your specialty
• Assist with stock ordering and monitoring procedures
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and health & safety at all times
• Demonstrate excellent food preparation practices, portion control and end to end food production
• Take responsibility for delivering the highest measures of food production and presentation to customers including manning the live cooking stations if required
• Ensure complete customer satisfaction, through provision and quality, control of Food, hygiene and service adopting a customer-focused approach at all times
• To ensure the kitchen is always clean, tidy and hygienic
• Prepare special meals or substitute items. Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator. Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish.
• Maintain food logs. Monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared.
• To assist the head chef in the organisation and controlling of all kitchen Operations
• Participate fully in all meetings, training and forums, Take responsibility for your own personal development
• cook all kinds of south and north Indian food, currys etc.
• Help in dish washing, kitchen cleaning and other chores given to you as and when required.
• Perform any reasonable duties as required from time to time in order to contribute to the achievement of business aims and objectives
REQUIRED SKILLS
Diploma in Commercial Cookery
At least 2 years’ experience as a Cook
