ABOUT THE ROLE

Qualified Cook position

Reporting directly to the Head Chef you will be responsible for daily kitchen operations which include cooking and preparing meals, maintaining a clean kitchen, and working within all Food Safety Program and Occupational Health and Safety Guidelines.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for cooking including baking or butchery without direct supervision.
Responsible for working in a variety of sections of the kitchen such as cold kitchens, banquets under the direction of higher-grade chefs
Maintaining a clean and sanitized workstation
Following kitchen standard operating procedures
Tasks are completed satisfactorily.
Tasks are completed in a timely manner.

Skills and Experience required:

Has experience working in a commercial kitchen.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Punctual and able to follow instructions.
Enjoys working as part of a team.
Maintains a clean and sanitized work area.
Can communicate clearly.
Shares a passion for the hospitality industry.
Qualifications:

Completed an apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
Attained Food Handlers certification.
Knowledge and food safety requirements is an advantage.
