Task & Responsibilities As a Graduate Accountant with XETA, you will be responsible for: Client Advisory and Strategic Consulting General advisory services relating to Business as Usual ‘BaU’ transaction processing recommendations. Tax Advice and Strategy: GST transactions, registration basis and revenue recognition/deferred expenses/prepayments review Individual Tax Return advice and strategy Company and Trust Tax Return advisory services and strategy report preparation FBT and TPAR advice Management Accounting Advice: Operational & Process Guidance Control Advisory Strategic Reporting Bookkeeping: Daily Account Reconciliation Accounts Payable/Receivable Reconciliation Fixed Asset Reconciliation Data Quality Management Accounting: Setup and optimisation of Chart of Accounts Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation Monthly Profit & Loss Review Response and investigation of client and partner queries Payroll: Tax Preparation: Weekly/Fortnightly/Monthly Payroll for Wages or Salaried Employees Onboarding and Offboarding of Employees Fair Work Interactions and Assessments Tax Preparation Monthly IAS Quarterly BAS Annual CTR/TRT/FBT/TPAR Financial Statement Preparation Annual Financial Statements Quarterly Management Reporting Monthly P&L Workflows Cashflow statements Qualification & Experience Qualifications & Experience Requirements: Accounting Undergraduate Degree from a recognized university 2 years’ working experience demonstrating desired outcomes in all aspects of bookkeeping, payroll, accounting, tax and financial advisory services/technical analysis. Must speak English in order to converse with XETA’s clients in Australia, UK, USA, and South Africa Be an Australian citizen/permanent resident or have a visa with full work rights. The right candidate will demonstrate the following attributes: Advanced knowledge of Xero is a requirement. Minimum Certifications: Advisor and Payroll Proficiency in Xero will be assessed. Proficiency in MYOB, MYOB Advanced, Quickbooks, NetSuite and SAP will be assessed. Proficient in voluminous research and detailed reports Active, coherent and eloquent communication at all levels Adept interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues Computer proficient in various programs, general computer user interfaces and able to learn new programmes swiftly Experienced in all ATO, ASIC and Fair Work data and workpaper requirements.
