FARM BUSINESS MANAGER – Euroley, NSW

COMPANY:
Southern Cross Farms provides horticultural management services to private, institutional, and corporate investment groups with several production sites across Sunraysia, Riverland, Moreton Bay and the Riverina regions.

Euroley Almond Farm is based in the Riverina, NSW just 48 kilometres south- east of Griffith on a large almond property of 375 hectares. The farm has been under management since August 2021 with great support staff already in place.


JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the General Manager - Riverina, the role will provide managerial oversight of all farm operations. The role will be responsible for achieving optimal farm production performance and operations.

The right candidate will need to be able to build a positive working environment and strong relationships with farm staff and contractors. As Farm Business Manager you will need to ensure effective implementation of farm operating plans and continued efficiency improvements.



DUTIES:
* Management - managerial oversight of the farm and its staff and operations.
* Safety - ensure work safety practices are being followed on farm.
* Reporting - provide regular reports on production, crop quality and compliance.
* Compliance - maintain compliance with workplace health and safety, HR policies and environmental objectives.
* Quality Assurance - ensure farm operations comply with all aspects of relevant quality assurance programs
* Training - actively participate in internal and external training programs in addition to further industry training and professional development.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Experience in almond production and operations.
* Pest and disease identification and control experience.
* Experience in Food Safety processes and compliance.
* Business acumen & computer literacy.
* Experience in working with WHS frameworks.
* Excellent communication & report writing ability.
* Excellent planning, time management and leadership skills.


CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
* Minimum 3 month probation period*
* Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol screening
* Current drivers licence


REMUNERATION:
Salary is commensurate with experience
Range $110,000 - $130,000 p.a. + Super

* Tool of trade vehicle also supplied
