About the Opportunity
Our client are currently seeking an experienced bookkeeper to take charge of financial operations for a 5 star boutique hotel in Melbourne's South Yarra. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable and reconciliations using Xero
Handle payroll and payroll tax, potentially managing external payroll services in the future
Conduct regular stocktakes and manage inventory
Prepare financial reports as required
Collaborate with other team members, including our external accountant, for higher-level financial tasks such as BAS lodgements.
Skills and Abilities:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
Proficiency in Xero accounting software
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision
Willingness to learn and grow with the business
