We are established supply partners with many tech distributors including Universal Robots, KUKA, Ouster, ABB, and OMRON.

ABOUT YOU

The minimum qualification for interview is a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering. Additionally, your proven track record includes work experience that showcases your technical, problem-solving, and creative skills. You have strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities, paired with excellent verbal and written communication. You can also have a keen understanding of industry standards and commercial awareness.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Mechatronics Engineer, you will contribute to a range of tasks that include working on off-the-shelf robot and cobot systems, crafting prototypes, and developing bespoke components. You will be responsible for integrating sensors, controllers, and machinery. You will also evaluate the efficiency of electrical systems, machinery, components, and products.

Full-time, permanent role working 38 hours per week. The salary for this role is between $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year

DUTIES : Design and Develop Robotic Systems

- Use of SOLIDWORKS and Altium for CAD as required
- Coding languages we work with and look for in a candidate: C/C++/C#, Linux, Python, HTML5, JavaScript, MySQL
- Work on the design and development of automation systems - integrating mechanical, electrical, and computing components. This includes sensors, actuator control, communication networks, electronic devices, and safety.
- Utilize knowledge in physics, mathematics, and computer science for efficient, reliable, and safe system designs.
- Conduct on site validation to ensure the functionality of these systems.

DUTIES : Testing and Troubleshooting

- Perform testing and troubleshooting of hardware and software to identify and address problems or defects.
- Diagnose issues and develop / implement effective solutions.

DUTIES : Collaborating with Other Professionals

- Work effectively with such colleagues as mechanical engineers, software developers, and robotic system integrator tradsesmen.
- Clear and accurate communication verbally and in writing, for example when working with customers on site and via phone/email.
- Project management uses GANTT charts and the Atlassian suite: Jira, Confluence, and Tempo.

DUTIES : Ensuring Regulation Compliance

- Advise on and follow the ANZ standards and legislation pertaining to electrical systems.
- Ensure system designs, project developments, and deliverables all comply with the ANZ standards and legislation.
- Work appropriately within Occupational Health and Safety policies.
