POSITION
Fulltime position for a Bar Attendant is available in Walkamin, QLD 4872.
SKILL LEVEL
The role requires you to hold at least a relevant AQF (or equivalent) Cert II or above + at least 12 months of relevant employment experience. If no relevant qualification, at least 2 years of relevant employment experience is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Bar Attendant, your role entails delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining safety standards. This includes preparing, blending, and serving an array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. You will also be expected to offer product information and handle payment transactions efficiently.
TASKS
• Beverage Preparation and Service:
- Skillfully prepare and serve cocktails, mixed drinks, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the bar service areas.
- Regularly clean and sanitise glassware, bar tools, and equipment to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for customers.
• Payment Collection and Cash Handling:
- Operate cash registers and accurately process transactions, including collecting payment for sales and providing change to customers.
• Promotion of Service and Products:
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, promoting available services, specialty drinks and other products on offer.
• Bar Setup and Organisation:
- Wash glassware, arrange bottles and glasses and maintain a well organised bar area for efficient service.
- Tap kegs, attach supply lines and replenish drink dispensers, shelves and refrigerators as needed.
- Monitor stock levels and report to the supervisor regarding any shortages or replenishment needs.
• Sales:
- Offer food options to complement beverages, upselling where appropriate to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
SALARY
Annual Salary of $60,000 - $70,000 based on experience.
