Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community. About the role The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Clinical Nurse role functions within the multi-disciplinary to promote and deliver efficient, effective, clinically relevant, culturally safe and appropriate patient outcomes. The Clinical Nurse will provide expert clinical and health service knowledge in relation to a variety of health conditions and have a co-designed approach through community engagement to the development of policy, procedures and work process specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients accessing outpatient services across Metro North.  The Clinical Nurse will apply principles of contemporary evidence-based consumer/person focused care, education, leadership and portfolio management.    The Clinical Nurse will provide support and direction to the Health Worker and non-registered nursing personnel in more complex situations.
