We currently have an unprecedented opportunity for an experienced and dynamic sales professional to join Minor Hotels as our Area Director of Sales - Victoria and New South Wales. This position will be based in our Commercial Office on Market Street.
This newly established position will be responsible for spearheading the implementation and execution of sales strategies across Victoria and New South Wales. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, and be responsible for driving revenue growth, maintaining optimal profitability, and delivering unparalleled guest services.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and executing strategic sales plans and forecasts in conjunction with Revenue to achieve company objectives for all responsible revenue centres
- Evaluating sales and market mix potential for the cluster overall and properties
- Developing and managing sales operating budgets (OPEX)
- Ensuring effective control of sales results, taking corrective action where necessary
- Monitoring competitor set and their activity
- Maintaining and establishing relationships with key industry personnel
- Growing existing business and establish and pursue new sales leads
- Representing Minor Hotels brands at various tradeshows and other association meetings
- Managing sales team (incl. events team) to effectively meet all KPIs (incl. use of CRM – Dynamics)
- Develop and direct staff through various methods of feedback, coaching and training
- Report major issues to the General Managers/Area Manager for support and resolution
