Scientist Core Laboratory, Queensland Health

The incumbent will be responsible for performing a broad range of simple to complex investigations consistently and accurately, verification and validation of results and maintaining competence in the technical, instrumental, scientific, developmental and clinical interpretive aspects of the laboratory. Your key responsibilities You will be required to fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with the Queensland Public Service values. Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces. Perform and validate haematology, coagulation and chemistry investigations consistently and accurately, by maintaining competence in the scientific aspects of the laboratory units. Develop scientific knowledge and expertise through active learning within the team and by engaging in professional development activities. Work with independence and professionalism and demonstrate sound problem-solving skills.
