We are looking for Machine Tool Fitters with proven experience across all manner of manufacturing equipment keen to develop their skills as we continue to expand and grow.
The Position:
Geographe is presenting an exceptional opportunity for Fitters to work with cutting-edge machine tools, including those developed by Mazak, Okuma, Fanuc, Dematic and DMG. With the continued growth of our business we are increasing emphasis on in-house maintenance and repair services.
The successful candidates will have the privilege of gaining exposure to diverse manufacturing equipment that encompass, jobbing, NC, and CNC machining, grinding, gear cutting, heat treatment, and plating processes. This experience will provide them with an opportunity to further improve their skills and knowledge in this field whilst working on robotic automation and cellular machining centres that very few experience.
To be successful in this role, you will have proven skills in:
• Contributing to the overall business success through conducting preventative and breakdown repairs and maintenance on a range of equipment.
• Assisting in the pursuit of automation within a production manufacturing environment - the way of the future, alongside our world-class and leading-edge machine tools.
• Liaising with multiple stakeholders and developing long-lasting relationships across a broad range of teams.
• The ability to complete tasks as part of a team, autonomously and competently.
The Requirements:
1. Trade qualification as a Fitter-Machinist, 1st Class Machinist or similar.
2. Proven hydraulic and pneumatic experience.
3. Previous experience within a manufacturing/heavy industrial environment.
4. Speciality experience in machine tool service, repairs, and maintenance would be considered advantageous but not essential.
