Goldmag Pty Ltd (t/a Jason Ross Earthmoving) is an agriculture business based in Emerald, QLD 4720, that grows and distributes cereal and cotton. The business is currently seeking a full time, qualified Irrigationist Assistant who will be responsible for overseeing the irrigation systems on site.
The salary offered is $70,000 per annum plus superannuation.
Job duties and responsibilities include:
• Determine and schedule irrigations based on weatherconditions
• Irrigate crops as required
• Assess soil moisture on a daily basis by undertaking cropinspections
• Assist in design and implementation of the irrigationprogram
• Schedule irrigations
• Install irrigation systems
• Maintain pumping systems for irrigation
• Daily maintenance of irrigation systems
• Completing general tasks assisting others as required
• Participate in staff development as requested or required
• Inspect and report any maintenance required
The applicant will have the following skills and experience:
• Relevant AQF Certificate II or 2 years of full-time (at least 38 hours per week) experience at a primary producer.
• Flexibility with working hours.
• Sound knowledge of irrigation systems.
