Are you a finance professional seeking an opportunity to lead and excel in a dynamic environment? We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Mine Accountant. In this role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing the finance function, reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, and leading a team of accountants.

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be responsible for:
• Leading and coaching a team of accountants
• Overseeing the finance function with focus on driving a high-performance culture
• Collaborating with cross-functional departments to understand the operational and technical
aspects of the industry
• Thinking fast on your feet and employing analytical skills to interrogate data and identify patterns
• Showcasing high proficiency in SAP and Excel usage
• Applying both Management and Financial Accounting skills
• Contributing to a supportive team culture that embraces change and process improvements

In this role, you will:
• Acquire the skills to think fast on your feet
• Develop your ability to interrogate data and understand “the why” by looking for patterns
• Build your management and financial accounting skills
• Be a part of a supportive team who are open to change and process improvements
• Become highly proficient in SAP and Excel
• Gain understanding of the operational and technical aspects of the industry through cross department engagement

ROSTER AND LOCATION
• Monday to Friday professional roster
• Based on site at HVO (off Lemington Road)

ABOUT YOU
• CA / CPA Qualified
• Interest in numbers and processes, ideally with exposure to Forecasts and Budgets
• A team player with confidence in working independently and driving deliverability
• Clear communicator with strong written and verbal skills
• SAP and Xeras skills are desirable
