We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our Service Operations Team that delivers batch and data processing services in Australia. Team members connect to our production systems and perform scheduled processing and batch and release work. Team members perform a weekday shift of either 7am to 3pm, or 3pm to 11pm. 

The position will suit someone with attention to detail, that enjoys shift work with a predefined schedule and deadlines, who is a team player and who takes responsibility for their work.

You should be confident working with data files and have some experience with bulk and manual upload data entry and file processing in database-driven, ERP style systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Setup, check and execute batch schedules.
  • Work remotely with customers to solve problems and deploy large job runs.
  • Check processing reports and communicate with colleagues and customers on problems and changes.
  • Deploy releases following release management procedures.
  • Perform administrator data entry, following documented instructions.
  • Investigate problems and work with colleagues on solutions.
  • Work with projects on configuration changes, testing, reporting, etc.
  • Schedule and run batch jobs and check and resolve errors within contracted SLA.

Required knowledge, experience and capabilities:

  • Customer focused, service delivery approach to work.
  • Experience in IT or data processing on large database driven systems (eg Oracle, SAP, etc).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preparedness to work shifts (7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm).
  • Ability and willingness to learn or enhance technical software skills such as SQL.
  • Accomplished with Microsoft Word and Excel.
