About You:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the Warehouse plan to ensure that the team is working safely and well together, the customer requirements are being met and that the budgeted profit result is being delivered.

The Warehouse Manager is expected to take clear and decisive action, quickly and professionally in accordance with our values and policies.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Implement the site’s safety and environmental compliance and manage the Warehouse performance in accordance with the WHSE policies.
  • Manage and WHSE related incidents and records in Velocity
  • Manage the daily tasks efficiency, DIFOT and Asset Utilisation using appropriate software to report, coach, investigate to ultimately improve overall efficiency.
  • Manage the operational supply chain to meet the customer’s expectations and the operational budget. Review the supply chain and implement improvements.
  • Ensure Continues Improvement and Operational Excellence becomes part of the culture.
  • Manage the warehouse operational budget 
  • Support that project are being delivered on time and within budget.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews

 

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Familiarity and senior level ability with WHSE and safe work practices
  • Employment background in a full warehousing operation, incl experience using scanners and other logistics technologies
  • Proven people management capabilities coupled with substantial supervisory experience and superior communication skills.
  • Waste, recycling and/or packaging industry background desirable
  • Experience in a large business high volume fleet & distribution environment
  • Knowledge of SAP or other similar business system. Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and email software.
