The role we are offering you:
During 2024 we are opening a new Training Centre in Sydney. We are seeking individuals to support the maintenance of Synthetic Training Devices. The primary responsibility of a Simulator Technician is to maintain the Simulator and ensure its availability and performance.
Shift work is a requirement for this role.
Other responsibilities of a Simulator Technician may include assistance to flight crew and instructors during training, ensuring the achievement of maximum successful training events.
You must reside in Australia and have full working rights in order to be considered for these positions.
Are you ready to:
- Carry out all maintenance tasks effectively as directed by Senior Simulation Technician or Technical Manager
- Carry out all maintenance tasks to meet internal and external compliance requirements
- Work to CAE’s Quality Management System
- Participate in maintenance related continuous improvement activities
- Work to CAE’s Environment, Health & Safety Management System
- Demonstrate professional, disciplined and safe behaviour in all day to day tasks
Our ideal candidate has:
- High School Certificate or equivalent
- An Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Certificate IV Aeroskills (Avionics) or equivalent experience.
- We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in Simulator, Aircraft Avionics or Electrical Control System maintenance, with a good level of knowledge and experience of technical processes applied to simulator maintenance, engineering and testing.
- Hands on experience using hand tools and test equipment
- A good understanding of computer networks would be an advantage.
- Permanent Resident capable of obtaining a minimum baseline security clearance
