This role is part of Fugro’s Marine Geoconsulting team of experts, who provide consultancy services to our clients within the fields of geology, geoscience, geophysics, and geotechnical engineering.?

?The Opportunity
We are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer, who is responsible for analysing and interpreting high-quality offshore geo-data to provide accurate and customised advice to clients on their individual project needs.
Your day-to-day duties and focus will include:?
- Perform technical duties related to geotechnical engineering with support from a technical authority
- Plan the work to obtain and review soil and rock samples as required from project sites to obtain necessary data for analysis
- Analyse the acquired geotechnical data and assist in the preparation of technical reports and documents to present the results of technical work
- Prepare calculation packs for all technical work completed and arrange review and approval by a technical authority
- Utilise geotechnical software and tools to interpret data and assess geotechnical soil conditions and potential geotechnical hazards for project sites
- The ability and willingness to perform fieldwork (typically 60 days per year) and travel if required

About You
Your success in securing this role will require:
- 5 years prior experience in a similar role within the offshore industry desired
- Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in geotechnical or civil engineering, engineering geology or a related discipline
- Be creative and willing to consider new approaches to solving problems
- Enjoy a challenge, learning new skills, and be prepared to go the extra-mile to meet our clients’ expectations
- Practical offshore site investigation experience will be an advantage as would having an interest in working offshore
