Hosmed Services is currently looking for a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their team at Virginia QLD.
Hosmed Services is an Australian engineering company specializing in the design, supply, installation and servicing of Medical, Laboratory and Industrial Gases systems.
The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with clients and Hosmed management to work through concepts that are developed and installed by Hosmed project technicians for a specific project.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Coordinating with client drafts departments to ensure correctness of all processes
* Drafting all project specific schematics relevant to Hosmed Services contractual processes
* Quality checking production to specifications and design
* Coordinating with the Project Manager
* Coordinating staff duties and tasks within the drafting department.
* Coordinating all logistics involved in the day-to-day running of the department.
* Facilitates any change requests to current works to ensure minimal impact on project schedules
Qualifications:
* Minimum 3 year relevant mechanical engineering experience
* Proficient using Microsoft Office; Bluebeam Construction Software; BIM software; Revit software; CAD software; Revizto software
* A strong understanding of drafting concepts, practices, procedures, specifications, and terminology
* A high level of knowledge in emerging areas of technology related to the construction industry
* An ability to negotiate and deliver outcomes,
* An ability to effectively solve problems and provide solutions in a consultative manner,
* Exceptional verbal and written communication,
* A strong ability to work autonomously and in a team to deliver outcomes,
* An ability to think laterally ‘outside the box’ to consider non-traditional responses to new problems,
* A strong ability to communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders,
* An ability to identify and implement efficiency and productivity initiatives
Salary: $80,000 - $110,00 per year (commensurate to skills and experience)
