KS Metal Fabrications is a leading and innovative general metal fabrication company based in Smithfield. The business has more than doubled in the last 3 years, with supply of products expanding to Victoria, South Australia, western Australia and Queensland. Recent projects include Barangaroo, M4/M5 Tunnel Project, Darling Harbour Exhibition complexes, Adelaide Hospital and supplying fabricated products for large infrastructure projects.
Our company is looking for a motivated and capable applicant to join our enthusiastic, experienced and disciplined team. Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll be a self-starter, hands on, comfortable working within a team, whilst having the discipline and commitment, to continually improve and drive our company's strategy and your own growth.
The role includes, but not limited to processing and fabricating various metal types, by applying appropriate welding techniques in accordance with specifications and production schedules, such as
* Interpretation of drawings
* Following and enforcing procedures in line with our Quality Management System
* Perform welding duties using MIG & TIG
* Using materials of Mild Steel, Gal (and Stainless & Aluminium)
* Weld steel components with welding equipment as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions
* Compliant with WHS regulations and procedures
Selection Criteria:
* Demonstrated achievement in any field
* Competent with MIG welding and TIG welding
* Ability to work within teams
* High level attention to detail and quality control
* Demonstrated problem solving skills, commitment to continual improvement, innovation and learning
* Forklift licence a bonus
An immediate start is on offer, subject to the completion of a weld test to demonstrate capabilities.
Salary Range - $60,000 - 75,000 per annum
