Flight Training Adelaide (FTA) provides world class aviation training solution for the fixed wing and rotary wing industry.
We are based at Parafield Airport in the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide in South Australia.
The Flight Instructor (Ground Training) position is responsible for the preparation, delivery and assessment of aviation theory subjects at commercial airline level, to cadet pilots undergoing training at FTA.
We are seeking to recruit an individual with teaching experience to work as part of an established and successful team, teaching aviation theory from Private Pilots Licence (PPL) to Air Transport Pilots Licence (ATPL) level.
Role requirements
The successful applicant will be trained to the following standards:
A qualified Flight Engineer who has worked in the international airline industry and has also worked as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and holds/held both licences
Has a minimum 5 years’ experience teaching the following flight training subjects:
• CASA CPL - Airframes Systems for fixed wing and rotary wing
• CASA ATPL Airframes Systems for fixed wing
• EASA/HKCAD - Aircraft General Knowledge (AGK) on the following topics:
• Systems
• Power Plant
• Piston Engines
• Gas Turbines
The candidate must hold either a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or a diploma or higher for an Australian qualification in adult education
General Attributes
The candidate will:
• Possess good levels of computer skills
• Will have high-level interpersonal skills and are essential and the persons must be able to work with limited supervision, in a dynamic
environment
• Have experience from civil, military or from an educational training background would be desirable.
