About the role

Embrace a challenging role as Senior Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) Inventory Specialist working across Bega’s national manufacturing network. This newly created role will drive operational excellence by leading the standardisation and optimisation of MRO inventory master data and associated business process. You will coach and develop site-based stores and purchasing roles, develop and improve business processes, analyse data, and identify strategic inventory opportunities. The role will also provide functional expertise in the ongoing development of our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Other responsibilities:

Maintenance Inventory Catalogue Standardisation

  • Lead the standardisation of MEX Stores Catalogue master data (100,000+ items)

  • Stock Class

  • Naming nomenclature

Unlock inventory efficiencies through technology, system & analytical capabilities

  • Lead the integration of the CMMS & ERPs (M3/GEP & SAP) to achieve streamlined stock replenishment (MRP) and purchasing processes

  • Develop a data and analytics strategy to support further procurement and working capital cost reduction

  • Align preferred suppliers to catalogue items to achieve procurement benefits

  • Develop governance structure to maintain data integrity into the future

Coach site-based resources on process alignment to business processes

  • Stock/Cycle Counting

  • MRP purchasing

  • Cost centre allocation alignment

  • Catalogue nomenclature / master data integrity

Redundant equipment management

  • Lead the cataloguing & re-deployment or sale of redundant assets across the network

About you:

  • Practical experience in MRO inventory space – experience with maintenance store directly or Master data governance role.

  • Background in FMCG or similar industry i.e. Heavy Industry, Manufacturing, Transport, Engineering.

  • Highly influential – ability to indirectly lead 20+ site based roles to achieve best practice inventory management 

  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels.
