As part of our Vehicles and Tactical Systems business, our Protected Vehicles team is primarily focused on the design, manufacture, delivery and support of protected mobility vehicles on a global scale. We have an excellent opportunity to join us as a Hardware Engineer - Mechanical based in our Brisbane office. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will take in charge the research and development of mechanical design, simulation and testing to contribute to the development of a hardware solution or product. You will be performing a subset of all the hardware engineering activities applicable to Mechanical Engineering and work collaboratively with production and procurement to produce cost effective, easy to manufacture mechanical design solutions.

How about you?

  • Proven experience in Hardware Engineering industry with a strong technical background in mathematics, science, and computer science, with a great knowledge of mechanical laws, norms and standards.

  • Have experience in execution of the engineering DDQS (Design, Develop & Qualify the Solution) activities for Sub-Systems.

  • You are proficient with several related tools, methods and processes such as Catia, Solidworks, Smarteam, PTC Creo, PTC PDMLink, Siemens NX, Autodesk Autocad or similar.

  • Knowledge of DFMEA, 3D CAD and PLM Systems along with good understanding of quality systems and procedures.

  • You have great problem-solving and decision-making skills, which makes you able to approach complex issues with curiosity and determination.
