On behalf of our client, we’re looking for an experience cook.
The role will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to menu in a dining establishment. The daily duties and responsibilities include:
• Preparing ingredients to use in cooking
• Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Make adjustments to food items to accommodate guest with allergies or specific diet concerns
• Ensuring food preparing is timely and of a high standard
• Ensuring work, health and safety in the workplace is best practice
• Collaborate with the Executive chef and chef during shifts
Education – AQF Cert III or higher qualification desirable. Industry experience may substitute.
Experience & Skills
• 3+ years of Industry experience as a cook
• Excellent administration, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team and in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Strong decision-making skills
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods
Salary: Salary being offered is commensurate with qualifications and experience, with a range between $70,000 – $900,000.
