About Us
The JBS Riverina Plant is a 5 day operation which employs approximately 400 people. Located 75km south east of Griffith, in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation district, our Riverina processing plant is an integrated grain fed facility. JBS Riverina Beef plant has current processing capacity of 600 head of beef per day and is fed purely by the adjoining feedlot that has a carrying capacity of 53,333 head.
About the Role
Our Riverina Plant currently has an opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Fitter and Turner to join our team. Reporting to the Plant Engineer, the Maintenance Fitter and Turner will ensure the availability, reliability and capability of plant assets in a beef processing environment.
This is a full-time position with the annual salary over $70,000 with superannuation, additional allowances and/or overtime.
A $3,000 Sign-On bonus is available to applicable candidates. *Conditions apply.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Ensuring maximum equipment uptime is achieved by providing effective and efficient mechanical preventative and breakdown maintenance
Engaging in making, fitting or repairing mechanical machines, instruments or appliances
Ensuring all mechanical work is carried out to meet the Company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations
Other ad hoc duties including relevant projects
About You
Fitter and Turner trade qualifications and post-trade experience (ideally a minimum of 2 years)
Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
Previous experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Effective and efficient fault finding and diagnostic skills
A thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices
Understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures
Sound computer skills
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
Thorough understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures
Confined Space and BA Competence highly desired
Ability to work shift work including rotating roster, day and afternoon shift
The ad will be valid for 28 days.
