How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?
As our new Primary/ HV Substation Engineer, you will join our Energy business, where you will play an integral part in ‘bringing ideas to life’ for our Network Service Provider Clients and Renewable Energy Development Clients role will include:
Design of high voltage substations and other related infrastructure working with voltages from 33kV to 500kV .
High voltage cable sizing calculations and reticulation (ideally using CYMAP)
Provide Concept and Detailed design engineering documents such as general arrangements and specifications.
Draw upon your own technical expertise, and those of the broader team to deliver high-quality technical advice to our client
Contribute in a team environment and drive delivery excellence across the Energy team

We value that each of our team members brings something different to Aurecon. We look for people who have had a broad range of experiences throughout their career and can demonstrate how they have worked as part of a team to bring ideas to life.
As well as experience in a similar Primary/ HV Substation Engineer. Specifically:
Understanding of a range of engineering disciplines and experience in electricity heavy industrial high voltage distribution
Utilized various engineering software packages such as CYMCAP and CDEGS
Have experience within substation primary engineering position across HV substations design (up to 500kV ideally)
Ideally have experience in use of engineering software in the design such as CYMCAP
Understanding of design and how it impacts on construction
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering
