In light of our expanding business, we are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Civil Engineering Drafter to join our dynamic team.
Annual Salary: $89,960 plus superannuation contributions
Duties and Responsibilities of Civil Engineering Drafter
-Collaborating closely with engineers to understand project requirements and instructions, ensuring accurate interpretation and selection of suitable equipment for civil engineering drafting tasks.
- Drafting detailed civil engineering drawings, layouts, and sketches for various projects using CAD software, and revising these drawings as necessary to comply with all relevant specifications, standards, and regulations.
- Performing data analysis and computational tasks required for civil engineering drafts, guaranteeing precision in every aspect of the work.
- Visiting project sites to gather essential data such as soil and material characteristics, and conducting necessary testing to inform drafting processes.
- Estimating material requirements and costs, and preparing detailed proposals for material expenses to aid in project budgeting.
- Regularly reviewing civil engineering drafts, addressing any issues promptly to ensure the quality and accuracy of the work, and liaising with relevant team members to facilitate project progression.
The Applicant Must Meet the Following Qualification, Experience and Skills Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- At least a Bachelor Degree
- At least five years relevant working experience
Essential Skills
- Extensive knowledge of civil engineering principles
- Proficiency in drafting software like AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Strong computing skills
- Good communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Time management, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Attention to detail
- Background and experience in the construction industry is preferred
