Shift Batch Coordinator (Production)

Rotating shift work. Changing every 2 weeks between day, afternoon & night;
Permanent role with growth/progression opportunity within the manufacturing team;
Counterbalance Forklift license is mandatory;

Purpose of the Role
Responsible for ensuring the safe operation of essential manufacturing machinery and processes in the Batching Facility. Maintains a safe work environment for oneself and others. Ensures the timely supply of Juice to the Packing Line as per the Production Schedule. Ensures each batch of Juice meets the required specifications right from the first attempt.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

Batch Product according to the Production schedule, ensuring adherence to all Quality Specifications. Promptly report any instances of Out of Spec Materials or Batches.
Maintain clear communication and regular contact with Supervisor/Production and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth production operations.
Conduct shift handover with incoming Batcher, documenting any concerns and addressing them accordingly. Complete all necessary paperwork.
Actively participate in implementing continuous improvement and operational excellence programs.
Maintain general housekeeping standards and conduct weekly/monthly cleaning as needed.
Assist in production activities as required or directed by the Supervisor.
Adhere to the cleaning matrix schedule rigorously.
Safely load tankers and communicate with stakeholders regarding tanker reception.
Plan raw materials, workflow, and prioritize tasks to ensure a continuous supply of Juice to the Packing Line.
Conduct Stock-takes when necessary.
Collect QA samples during, at the beginning, and at the end of production runs/cleans.
Operate according to schedule and tanker requirements, informing the Supervisor of any potential downtime that may affect the tanker schedule.
Assist NPD, QA, and maintenance with Product or equipment trials.
Promptly report any equipment, machinery, or forklift maintenance issues to the Maintenance or Supervisor.
Promote a culture of quality within the Batching facility.
Report any quality control and food safety issues to Supervisor, QA, or Team Leader for action following the site's NCR Process. Label any non-conforming Products or Materials.

Experience and Qualifications

Mandatory possession of a Counterbalance Forklift license.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role in the FMCG industry.
Proficient understanding of Pasteurisation and CIP Processes.
Knowledgeable about HMI Interface and capable of interpreting data.
Understanding of food safety and GMP processes.
Intermediate computer skills, especially in Excel and Outlook.

Salary and Work Rights

$36/hr - $38/hr +17.5% (afternoon) and 30% (night) + 11% Super (Negotiable depending on experience)
