My Australia Direct Pty Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated sports professional. Our client operates a Muay Thai, Boxing and Kickboxing Gym with numerous athletes fighting competitively. We are currently hiring for the position of ‘Sports Coach (Muay Thai)’ on a full-time basis.
As a Muay Thai coach, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional coaching, leadership, and mentorship to athletes and fighters. Drawing upon your expertise in muay thai, martial arts, physical training, and holistic well-being, you will inspire individuals to unlock their full potential, cultivate discipline, and achieve their Muay Thai goals in a supportive and inclusive environment.
This is a full-time position with annual remuneration of between $65,000 to $80,000 (negotiable) on offer.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead dynamic and engaging training classes focusing on technique, refinement, physical conditioning.
Prepare athletes and fighters for competition and coach them during bouts
Provide personalised coaching and mentorship to competitive fighters addressing their unique needs, goals, and challenges with empathy, understanding, and expertise.
Foster a positive and inclusive training environment that promotes camaraderie, mutual respect, and personal growth among participants, creating a sense of belonging and community within the club.
Conduct individualised assessments and goal-setting sessions to identify individual objectives, track progress, and develop customised coaching and training plans to optimise performance and achieve desired outcomes.
Integrate elements of strength and conditioning, flexibility training, and mindfulness practices into Muay Thai sessions to enhance overall fitness, reduce injury risk, and promote holistic well-being.
Educate fighters on proper nutrition, recovery strategies, and mindset techniques to support their physical and mental resilience.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in martial arts training methodologies, continually refining and evolving coaching techniques to deliver innovative and impactful programming.
Skills and experience required:
Cert III in relevant discipline or equivalent employment experience
Expert knowledge in Muay Thai and kickboxing
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a sports coach
Proven expertise in martial arts techniques, training methodologies, and fitness conditioning, with a track record of coaching individuals at various skill levels and abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and connect with diverse audiences in a group setting..
Knowledge of sports science principles, injury prevention strategies, and performance optimisation techniques relevant to martial arts training.
