*The Role*

A Drilling Offsider is required is to support our drillers as delegated, in a safe cost-effective manner, while upholding Aurenne Group Mining values, meeting operational performance targets, participating in safety initiatives, and adhering to company policies and procedures. This is a full-time position based at our Mt. Ida location in the Goldfields region.

*Main Tasks*

- Ensuring sufficient drilling consumables, fuels, oils and greases on site
- Assisting in routine services and maintenance on ancillary equipment as directed, reporting any problems or malfunctions at the bore or dam to the Drilling Supervisor or Exploration Manager immediately
- Performing dust control around drills and drilling sites, including clearing tracks of rubble and debris that may damage plant and equipment
- Ensuring drill site is laid out to company standards
- Preparing drill sites prior to completion of drill holes
- Ensuring oil drums are cleaned and set out correctly
- Ensuring spares and freight and returning to rig and lay down areas
- Ensuring sufficient water is collected in storage tanks and dams
- Ensuring work areas are regularly inspected and identified hazards eliminated or controlled in accordance with health and safety policies
- Conducting all duties in a manner that meets environmental obligations and expectations in accordance with EMSE-PLA-006
- Other duties as required.

*Requirements*

- Minimum Year 10 High School completion; National Police Clearance and HR/C Class (Manual) driver’s license essential.
- Previous drilling industry experience essential (2 years or more)
- Manual labouring background highly desired
- Previous FIFO experience highly desiredd
- Ability to work 12-hour days, outside in remote locations, in often dusty and noisy environments at extremes of temperature
- Reasonable mechanical and dexterity skills, along with sound communication skills (oral and written), highly desired.
