Phoenix Marine Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced, dedicated and qualified full-time Mechanic to join their dynamic team.
Summary Description:
Skilled Small Engine Mechanic to inspect, service and repair jetskis, boats, and marine engines for our clients.
- Inspect, service and repair electrical and mechanical equipment on a range of boats
- Inspect, service and repair Evinrude and Tohatsu outboard motors as a minimum
- Fit out boats including fit outboards and wiring
- Inspect, service and repair Seadoo Jetskis
- Maintain dealership and manufacture’s software knowledge
- Ensure all documentation and verbal information given is true and correct without any misleading information.
- Apply exceptional levels of customer service
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Testing the performance of marine engines and electrical systems
- Carrying out services and repairs on outboard engines
- Troubleshooting engine and electrical problems
- Replacing broken or worn-out engine parts
- Completing service records and repair documents
- Tasks and jobs to be completed in a rational time frame.
- Make Manager aware of jobs coming in and out on a daily basis.
- Maintain cleanliness within the workshop
- Monitor and make Manager knowledgeable of stock to be ordered in a timely manner
- Clean and detail new units where necessary
- High standard of workmanship
- Provide excellent customer service to all the dealership’s customers.
- Present in a clean, tidy and professional manner, demonstrating good personal hygiene and professional appearance.
- Assists other workshop employees as required
Other Duties
- As Assigned by a Manager or reasonable requested duties by the business and its representatives.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
• Certificate III in Marine / Small motors or equivalent
• Current car & boat Licence
• Current Jetski licence preferred but if not work towards obtaining
Experience:
• Proven work experience as a marine mechanic
Skills:
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Friendly and outgoing personality
• Excellent written communication
• Time management skills and willingness to take the initiative
• Extensive knowledge of the products we sell including the technical aspects of units
• Good knowledge mechanics
• Organised and able to meet deadlines
A remuneration package between $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year plus superannuation will be negotiated depending on skills and experience.
