About the role:

We are looking for a talented, passionate, and motivated individual to join our go-to-market team as a Sales Development Representative (SDR), taking accountants and bookkeepers on a journey to move their traditional methods of client engagement to a business-critical platform that offers their customers sleek and professional branded experiences, automating large parts of their business including invoicing, payments and workflows. 

As a Sales Development Representative, you'll play a key role in our marketing and sales efforts by developing a qualified pipeline of leads that result in more product demos for our sales team. 

Your main objective is to get prospective customers excited about what we're doing and schedule product demonstrations with our Sales team. You’ll be an integral part of helping the company build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities and grow its revenue while being the face of Ignition in the professional services industry!

Role location:

We are open to candidates located in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. At Ignition, it's up to you to decide whether you want to work fully remote, in-office or a mixture of both.

What your day to day will look like:

With an established brand presence and a full pipeline of new business, your primary responsibility will be to engage, nurture, and get prospects excited about what we’re doing–scheduling product demonstrations for them with our sales team. 

You'll be an integral part of helping the company build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities and grow its revenue:

  • Be the face of Ignition via phone and email and to make a great first impression with our prospects by demonstrating strong knowledge in key areas such as product, competitors, industry, and more (you'll be thoroughly trained on this!)

  • Qualify leads and advance them to the next step in our company's sales cycle

  • Being Comfortable and excited by converting outbound activity into new business

  • Get excited by turning outbound activity into new business by searching for, and engaging with prospective clients via our database (Hubspot), Linkedin, Apollo etc

  • Partner closely with our Inside Sales team to ensure strong communication and proper handoffs

  • Participate in industry trade shows (travel opportunities!) to represent Ignition

  • Be a product knowledge expert and successfully overcome prospective customer objections

  • Actively look for opportunities to improve and optimise our sales processes

  • Become a master of our technology stack (Hubspot, Gong, Zoom) to learn foundational skillset for SaaS sales
