Our customer, GMS Investments (Oakleigh) Pty Ltd. trading as Mythos Gyros Bar, is currently seeking an experienced Chef. Situated in Oakleigh, Victoria, the establishment provides an exceptional dining experience for its patrons.
Position: Chef
Salary Range: $70k plus superannuation
Location: 15 Eaton Mall, Oakleigh VIC 3166
Job Type: Permanent position, Full time. Must be available to work on weekends and public holidays.
Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Adhere to the prescribed menu for dish preparation.
2. Contribute to and collaborate on inventive culinary concepts.
3. Keep abreast of customer preferences to tailor dishes accordingly.
4. Strictly follow recipes and cooking standards to ensure top-notch output.
5. Organize and ready essential ingredients and tools for culinary tasks.
6. Oversee kitchen staff to maintain consistent operational excellence.
7. Provide necessary training to kitchen team members as needed.
8. Handle staffing and shift schedules in the kitchen.
9. Streamline the kitchen's ordering process for efficiency.
10. Uphold a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
To be considered for this role, your key skills, attributes must include:
1. Hold relevant qualifications and a minimum of 3 years of professional work experience.
2. Certification should be at least at the Certificate IV level.
3. Show the ability to focus in a high-pressure environment and lead a team effectively.
4. Must have full working rights within Australia.
