Synchrotech Controls is a company that continues to grow on the back of sustained quality and reliability of its products. We are looking to add a qualified Welder / Boilermaker to our mechanical team who is highly motivated, pays attention to detail, has a strong work ethic and is reliable.
Responsibilities
You will report to the Workshop Foreman and Project Engineer to deliver high quality fabricated products. This will involve:
MIG welding structural mild steel
MIG / TIG welding sheet & plate stainless steel
TIG welding tube & pipe
Prep work including cutting, grinding, drilling
Processing sheet metal; cutting, folding, punching, drilling, welding
Assembly of fabricated items
Assisting other trades
General housekeeping activities
Qualities
A strong work ethic and a ‘can-do’ attitude
Great reliability and time management
Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
Willing to adapt to and take-on new and unfamiliar tasks
Be proactive and work with limited supervision
Qualifications
Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade
General construction induction (white card)
Australian citizen or permanent resident
This is an exciting opportunity for early career stage candidates to grow their skills and experience. Industry competitive rates based on experience while maintaining and encouraging a balanced lifestyle. 9 day working fortnight with no weekend work requirements. Occasional overtime, site work and interstate travel may be offered. The successful applicant must have their own hand tools and be available for immediate start.
