BT Personnel Pty Ltd are seeking to fill the above positions on behalf of Byrne Trailers Pty Ltd.

Byrne Trailers is a leading manufacturer of Heavy Vehicle Transport Equipment with its Head Office based in Wagga Wagga NSW and a division in Toowoomba QLD.

We are looking for:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced CNC operator to work on the latest machines in a manufacturing environment. You will be working collaboratively with Processing and Engineering Departments to support the manufacturing of heavy transport trailers.

You will be responsible for:
• Set up and operation of CNC Machines in a timely and safe manner. Machines include; Trumpf Tube Laser Cutter, Doosan CNC Lathe, CNC Plate Laser Cutter, CNC Press.
• Operation of robotic welding equipment.
• Inspecting final product to ensure high quality workmanship.
• Identifying and correcting/ reporting machine malfunctions.
• Abide by Safety Policies and Procedures including hazard reporting, risk assessments, participation in toolbox meetings, OH&S committee meetings and general housekeeping of work environment.
• Maintaining machines to ensure safety and optimal capability.

To be successful you will have:
Qualifications and Experience
• Relevant Trade Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience and competency in the use of CNC Machines

Skills:
• Basic computer literacy
• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Well developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong work ethic and commitment to team work as well as the ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated commitment to OH&S, Risk Management and awareness of occupational hazards and appropriate precautionary measures
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight production deadlines.
• High attention to detail
• Competent in the use of all measuring equipment


Employment Terms
• 38 hour work week / 76 hour fortnight.
• Hours of work 6.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Thursday inclusive (4 day work week).
• 2x half hour breaks per day, 9.5 work hours standard.
• Additional overtime available.
• Overtime rates for all hours over 76 per fortnight, plus weekend and holiday penalty rates where applicable.
• 11% Superannuation and 4 weeks paid Annual Leave.

What we offer:
• 4 day work week with the ability to work overtime
• Above award wages and conditions. ($58,000 - $70,000 per year depending on skills and experience)
