Our client, a leading institution in the tertiary education sector, is at the forefront of driving change and innovation. The People and Culture portfolio plays a pivotal role in ensuring the strategic alignment of workforce solutions, including payroll compliance. The University is seeking a skilled and experienced Payroll Compliance Manager to join their dynamic team.
Role Responsibilities:

Support the functional management in refining and implementing the payroll compliance management framework.
Lead the implementation of compliance controls across payroll processes and technology.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and maintain payroll compliance obligation registers.
Design, develop, and produce reports on payroll compliance management data for consideration by people and culture management.
Provide high-level specialist advice and support to relevant working groups/committees.
Lead, develop, and facilitate training sessions to foster a culture of transparency and business improvement.
Coordinate with the Senior Manager to refine and implement audit actions and mitigation controls.
Contribute to business continuity, critical incident, risk, and policy review initiatives.

About You:

Postgraduate qualifications in legal, compliance, or related activities, or extensive relevant experience.
Demonstrated ability to refine, implement, and maintain a payroll compliance management framework aligned with Australian legislation.
High-level ability to interpret and apply legislation and develop compliance obligation registers tailored to business activities.
Technical expertise in report writing and data analytics for identifying process and technology improvements.
Excellent relationship management, consulting, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and coach colleagues.
