About the role
Reporting to the Workshop Manager your main focus will be maintenance and repair of the bus fleet, compliance with maintenance processes and use of the workshop database.
Primary duties and responsibilities include:
- Scheduled and preventative maintenance of bus fleet;
- On time servicing performance, vehicles off road and reduction of defects;
- Compliance with government passenger vehicle maintenance regulations – internal specifications, vehicles COI's and environmental practices;
- Fault finding, diagnosis and general repairs;
- Ensuring accurate and up to date entry to the workshop database.
Skills and experience
To be successful candidates will need to demonstrate:
- Qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic or equivalent Mechanical Trade;
- Experience in fleet maintenance programs;
- Ability to work independently and or as part of a team;
- Problem solving skills, strategic thinker, attention to detail;
- Ability to work shift work;
- Hold a valid MR/HR licence
Salary is $40.32 per hour.
