An exciting opportunity has become available for a Director Digital & Ecommerce, Pacific to join our team. This role will be based in Sydney and will be reporting directly to the VP Commercial, MEA with SVP Digital & Ecommerce, MEA APAC as the role’s matrix manager. The primary mission of this role mission is to elevate the digital performance of all hotels within the region. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, optimizing channel strategies, ensuring rate parity, and championing best practices defined by the Digital & E-commerce Centre of Excellence in MEA APAC. Your influence will extend across various stakeholders, and you will serve as the foremost advocate for digital and e-commerce excellence throughout the MEA region. 

Getting to know the role and your responsibilities: 

  • Channel Mix Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive channel mix strategy, emphasizing direct web and indirect web contribution, to maximize revenue for all hotels in MEA. 

  • Best Practice Adoption: Ensure that all hotels within the region adhere to digital and OTA best practices established by the Digital & E-commerce Centre of Excellence in MEA APAC. 

  • Pricing and Rate Parity: Oversee hotel pricing strategies to align with Accor's overall strategy and ensure rate parity across distribution channels. Monitor the Distribution Health score to optimize opportunities for direct channels. 

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including Commercial Directors, Vice Presidents of Operations (VPOs), General Managers, and in-hotel commercial team members, to align digital strategies with business objectives. 

  • OTA and Partner Connectivity: Serve as the primary point of contact and support for hotels regarding OTA relationships, account management, and marketing activations. 

  • Voice of the Centre of Excellence (CoE): Act as the key spokesperson for the Digital & E-commerce Centre of Excellence, representing its interests and promoting its vision throughout the MEA region. 

  • Training and Development: Curate and deliver comprehensive Digital & E-commerce training programs to educate and empower relevant stakeholders across the region, including property-level teams. 

  • OTA Relationships: Cultivate and maintain direct relationships with all pertinent OTAs, both locally and across the MEA region, to optimize collaboration, run campaigns and drive channel performance. 

  • Standards Implementation: Ensure the regional and global digital and e-commerce standards set by Accor are consistently implemented across the entire portfolio of hotels within the MEA region.
