We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Therapist to join dynamic team in West End, Brisbane.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assessment, diagnosis, and therapy for individuals with communication disorders and delays. You will work closely with clients and their families to develop individualised treatment plans, utilising evidence-based techniques and tools. You will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

Our client is a leading provider of mobile allied health services dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). They are committed to delivering high-quality, accessible, and compassionate care to our clients, in the comfort of their homes or preferred community settings.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for NDIS participants
  • Develop personalised, participant-centered treatment plans in consultation with NDIS participants and their support teams
  • Provide speech therapy services to NDIS participants in various community settings, including their homes and schools
  • Collaborate closely with other allied health professionals, caregivers, and NDIS support coordinators to ensure holistic care
  • Continuously monitor and adjust treatment plans to meet the evolving needs and goals of NDIS participants
  • Educate and empower NDIS participants and their families/caregivers on communication strategies and exercises
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records and documentation for NDIS reporting requirements
  • Stay updated with best practices and evidence-based approaches in speech therapy
  • Bachelor degree in Speech Pathology
  • Driver's licence
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities and knowledge of NDIS processes is preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a mobile healthcare team
