About the Job
Manages the Investments data Governance and operations delivery function, team, and capabilities, (people, processes, and systems), to deliver data driven analysis, reporting, and insights, to enable market leading Investment management monitoring, reporting and decision making across the end-to-end Investments lifecycle.
Responsible for Rest’s Investments data governance and operations function.
This role is expected to work with the Rest enterprise Data organization to adopt and embed sound data management practices into how we operate the Investments data solutions and to ensure the appropriate operating model controls to deliver accurate and complete data to the Investments organisation.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Operationalize data management capabilities, processes, and the organizational design.
- Lead and develop the Investment Data operational team, comprising of data analysts, and reporting specialists
- Accountable to implement and drive data governance practices and assurance, develop data stewardship and ownership roles across the Investment function, ensuring alignment and adoption from the Enterprise framework standards.
- Develop and maintain the operating model for the investments data governance, aligning with enterprise standards and practices.
- Ensure accurate and timely data, reporting and analytics delivery to investments, including data onboarding, data issue resolution, engages project teams to ensure proper data usage.
- Information/Data Architecture: working with technology and architecture for tooling, standards + practice.
- Drive a strong focus on delivering business value via improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data.
- Define and embed roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the company’s principal information assets.
- Collaborate with the wider business to define, execute, champion, and embed Rest's data governance model into the Investments data function.
- Work with the vendor relationship management and data team to coordinate external data sources to eliminate redundancy and streamline the processes related to those services.
- Ensure adoption of the organizational data policies, standards, principles guidelines and standard operating processes.
- Preparation / presentation of data governance content for MIC review and for input into Enterprise reporting and oversight requirements as required.
- Run end to end data analysis and reporting services, providing data quality management services, deliver controlled quality assured data assets to the investment’s teams, supported by issue/incident resolution processes.
