We are looking for a DevOps engineer with 4+ years experience, who has previously spent time building AWS Architectures that are deployed utilising solid coding and testing practices, that lean into best practice CI/CD, Microservices Architecture and Container Technologies.
This is a unique opportunity to join a team that is transforming our company's approach to Cloud Engineering, reducing complexity with a strong focus on developer and customer enablement by embracing self service practices.
You will require:
- Excellent knowledge around infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code and current tooling to support the management and orchestration of AWS Architecture
- Good knowledge of AWS services including Lambda/Serverless, EC2, ECS, IAM, ALB, RDS, Cloudformation/CDK
- Good knowledge of DevOps principles and practices that support best practice CI/CD
- Knowledge of programming / scripting languages
- Conversant on Agile principles, have previously worked in an agile/waterfall/scrum environment.
- Excellent team working and communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Experience or exposure to Observability would be an advantage - tools such as New Relic, Data Dog, Dynatrace etc
Nice to have but not mandatory:
- Terraform Experience
- Gitlab Experience
- Cloudflare or similar CDN technology experience
What you would doing:
- Improving release processes and enabling faster release cadence across our product portfolio through CI/CD improvement
- Developing high-quality standards for CI/CD, container and artefact management, security and code quality compliance scanning, for the deployment of our products to SaaS environments
- Provide a great developer experience to product teams, through both technology and relationship building
- Contribute to team discussions on roadmap, architecture, and strategy
- Participate in agile ceremonies including standups, sprint refinements, planning, reviews, and showcases
- Contribute to the team’s (and your own) continuous growth and improvement by bringing new ideas to the table
