Australian Healthcare Associates (AHA) is Australia's largest health and human services consulting firm. We're currently tendering for additional work to undertake Residential Aged Care assessments of residents in aged care facilities on behalf of the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care.

The work will involve you leading a team of experienced aged care professionals who will be visiting aged care facilities to assess residents using the Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC) assessment funding tool. You will provide in-field support to assessors to ensure the quality and consistency of assessments, plus develop assessor support and quality assurance mechanisms.

On offer:

  • Very attractive salary - $130,000p.a. + 11% superannuation.
  • Permanent full-time role.
  • Involvement in the recruitment and onboarding of assessors in your allocated area.
  • Support from an administrative assistant to manage the scheduling of assessments and team rostering.
  • Full training provided in the use and application of the AN-ACC assessment tool.

About the position:

  • Provide in-field clinical support to a team of assessors to assure consistency and quality of assessments.
  • Manage performance and ongoing training requirements of assessors.
  • Collaborate with other Area Managers and share learnings to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Provide regular updates and data reports on team.
  • Travel within your allocated area.

Required:

  • 5+ years’ experience in people management, quality management, or clinical management within the residential aged care sector (above and beyond initial 5+ years aged care experience).
  • Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration.
  • Intermediate to advanced IT skills particularly in Excel.
  • Excellent writing skills including report writing.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable car for travel.

If you have the necessary skills and experience and are interested in working with us, then we'd like to hear from you now.

To Apply please upload the following:

Your CV - specifying each employer, your role, experience with varying health conditions and residents with different backgrounds, as well as the assessment frameworks/tools you have used. Please also provide the year of study for all relevant qualifications and if you have a proficiency in a language other than English.

and a 300-word blurb. We’d like to know a little more about you (more than we’d get from a CV). Tell us about your passion for aged care, the approach you take to engage with residents and make swift, yet clinically sound judgements. What your experience has been in leading and mentoring teams, including how you balanced that against the need to manage performance and the quality of work.

Applications close Friday 1 March 2024
