We are currently seeking a part-time Sample Reception Officer to join our team in Shepparton. The role involves analysing soil, water, and air samples, overseeing and executing Sample Log-in operations, bottle preparation, handling various administrative tasks, and ensuring the provision of timely services with accurate logging and labeling of all samples.
Other key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:
- Ensure samples are identified, labelled and stored correctly.
- Sub-sampling where necessary, packaging and preparation of samples for courier.
- Coordination and preparation of bottles and sampling supplies for clients.
- Transportation of samples / sampling supplies to and from client/lab/courier.
- Disposal of samples in accordance with appropriate procedures.
- General Administration (emailing documents, registering of samples etc).
- Monitor and record temperatures of samples and sample storage fridges.
- Ensure all samples are free of contaminants during log-in and sub-sampling process.
- Maintaining adequate stocks of consumables and clean / organised work area.
- Understanding of general laboratory QA/QC requirements.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Operations Manager or delegate.
