We have an amazing opportunity for a senior community worker to join our team in Northern Sydney. In this role you will be providing support to our community workers so they can provide the best support possible to the aged community.
The senior community worker role is a great steppingstone into management within the care industry, where you will be able to grow and develop your management and stakeholder engagement skills.
This role is a split permanent full-time role. 3x days working as a senior community worker and 2x days working as a community support worker. You will be required to travel through Northern Sydney and Northern Western suburbs.
As a senior community worker, you will be:
- Providing support and guidance to a team of community support workers
- Onboarding and inducting new starters
- Working closely with team leader to ensure community workers are meeting customer demand and expectations
- Implement systems and process to ensure our customers receive the best support possible
- Providing buddy shifts and support to new community workers
Requirements for the role:
- Extensive experience in the aged care industry
- Certificate IV in Aged Care or equivalent
- Formal qualifications in Disability, Community Services, or similar, advantageous
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Evidence of Covid vaccinations
- Driver license and registered/insured vehicle
