Shamali's Cafe & Restaurant are looking for 2 qualified and experienced Chefs to join our team in Emerald.
Assisting the Head Chef, you will be required to help ensure the kitchen is run smoothly. To be considered for one of these opportunities, you must have at least 2-3 years' experience as a Chef and be trade qualified with a Certificate or Diploma in Commercial Cookery.

- Attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness and presentation
- The ability to work efficiently and operate well under pressure
- Willingness to assist with the training of junior staff and apprentices
- Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, seasoning and cooking food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
- Following recipes and presentation specifications
- Operating standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Cleaning and organising kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety regulations
- Preserving and storing foodstuffs in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities
- Training apprentices and other kitchen staff
These positions require the flexibility to work a seven-day rotating roster. A remuneration package of $70,000 + Super (Annually) will be negotiated with the successful candidates.
