Our valued client SMW Group is a proud Central Queensland provider of field servicing, maintenance and emergency repair / rebuild services with over 10 years experience servicing the Central Queensland region.
They are currently seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their highly skilled and qualified mechanical maintenance team in servicing and maintaining fleet and heavy equipment.
Duties include:
Running diagnostic tests on vehicles
Analyzing diagnostic test results
Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems
Checking vehicle lighting systems
Test driving vehicles to gauge performance
Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks
Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
Maintaining a parts inventory
Ensuring the cleanliness of the workshop and worksite
Requirements:
Trade qualification
Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components
Good IT and diagnostic skills
Physically fit
Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools
Good interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal communication skills
Good organization skills
A minimum of two years post trade experience, preferably with earth moving machinery experience.
