Position: Transport Contract administrator
Duties include
· Processing Customers' orders for collection and dispatch of containers from the Melbourne wharf while under review and negotiation of contract variations.
· Responding to queries and resolving problems related to transportation contracts.
· Review and update existing contracts to maintain the integrity of the information according to changes in transportation services.
· Enter the initial customer order into the system, ensures that the delivery order is received and entered to enable the container to be collected, responds to inquiries, and resolves problems concerning the current contract, and organizes specialized trucks and drivers to maximize loads and optimize the operation, including negotiating contract terms with internal and external partners.
· Workflow processing into delivery and billing establishment
· Support sales in maintaining contract lifecycle including renewals, change requests and terminations.
· Ensure contracts and delivery set up comply with legal requirements and company policies.
· Maintain accurate records of all documents, including booking time slots at the wharf using the 1stop system, understanding the time constraints in collecting containers from the wharf and dehire, understanding National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) requirements for driver fatigue, weight limits on trucks, and speeding, using the Container chain system to dehire empty containers, understanding export and import paperwork for the collection of containers, and understanding dangerous goods legislation and requirements for container collection from the wharf.
About you
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or similar (desirable).
· Previous experience in a administration, finance and costumer services role desired.
· A strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
· Excellent organisation skills when managing and prioritising tasks under time pressure, including proficiency software and tools for scheduling and planning, such as MS Office Suite (Excel) and freight Traker
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· A positive attitude and a willingness to work as part of a team
