Telecom Network Designer

Planning and Designing of Telecom devices, networks such as Copper, Fiber and HFC, and systems
Design the network in compliance with the local councils laws, regulations, policies and procedures in the provision of telecommunications systems
Interpreting the complex telecom architectures and business rules specific to the service provider
Selecting and developing new telecommunications sites by locating sites, filing documents, drawing up documents for approval, drafting construction drawings and following through to approval
Necessary documentation for Land access and Council approvals, Dial-Before-Your-Dig, drafting construction drawings and Single Line Diagrams.
Performance evaluation of the existing network, especially with the copper and fibre losses, so that the required bandwidth is designed.
Technical support and on-the-job training to be imparted to the junior designers
Ensure the quality of the designs being produced by the mapped junior designers
Drive the successful delivery designs required to meet the leading indicators and business objectives;
Recommendations for planning and design process automation;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
