Your New Team & Role
This role, reporting to the Commercial Manager, forms part of our high performing Finance team. You will play a key role in delivering financial reporting and analysis to support critical decision making and strategic planning. You will also be accountable in providing accurate forecasting to enabling you to evaluate and advise on alternative options to best achieve the businesses’ financial objective.

Responsibilities
• Preparing and distributing required financial reports in a timely manner for internal and external stakeholders.
• Completing and Producing accurate Company Trial Balances for reporting;
• Preparation and distribution of company reports (Financial, Sales and Management) on a weekly and monthly basis. Completion of general ledger and job reconciliations, correction and resolution of any general ledger issues Produce and post monthly general ledger journals;
• Undertake review of financial reports and data to ensure a high level of accuracy is achieved and investigate and resolve any anomalies before distributing;
• Analyse budget / forecast reports to ensure information is accurate and data is in line with company guidelines and expectations;
• Support the annual budget process and reporting by providing guidance and support to managers in order to develop an accurate budget in line with company expectations;
• Analyse financial results for individual locations against budget/forecast and provide support to managers to assist them in making business decisions;
• Distribution of monthly individual site financial reports;
• Prepare and present operational forecast(s) for financial and operational reporting;
• Work collaboratively with the Fenner Dunlop Finance Team in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, provision of functional support and the identification of opportunities to assist operational managers improve the performance of their businesses’
• Provide recommendations for improvements to enhance the service provided to key stakeholders;

About you
We are looking for a team player who is self-driven, confident and passionate about providing exceptional customer service and possesses the following skills and experience:-

• Minimum of 2-3 years’ previous experience in an accountant role
• A tertiary degree level qualification in Accounting or Finance
• CPA / CA qualification or equivalent (or working towards)
• Demonstrated application of accounting principals and practices
• Knowledge of auditing principles and practices
• Basic knowledge of commercial law / Corporations Act
• Competent knowledge of accounting standards and Company corporate governance standards
• Strong administrative skills and high levels of attention to detail
• Strong ability to initiate, build and maintain strong and effective relationships and partnerships with all levels of stakeholders
• Works well under pressure, can prioritise and has the ability to meet tight deadlines
