Chullora/Work from Home | $100-115k + super | Retail Company Your new company Work for an Australian retail company which will cover 89 retail sites and 4 distribution centres. This is a national role, so there will be some occasional interstate travel involved. Your new role Reporting to the Head of Safety, the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Specialist will drive strategy and engagement to maintain a culture of safety, safety awareness, health & wellbeing, injury prevention and rehabilitation across the client group's operations and functions.
This role operates in a high volume and deadline-driven environment that focusses on the proactive administration and management of safety improvement initiatives.
Develop and review policies and implement operational work instructions as required for OH&S.
Conduct incident reporting and investigations and implement corrective actions
Develop and conduct risk assessments / audits and implement improvements.
Maintain necessary systems, e.g., risk assessment registers, audit register, injury database.
Collect, analyse and report on incident data, regularly determining trends and recommending initiatives/ improvements to reduce risk.
Conduct on-site safety induction for new employees.
Develop and deliver training and awareness sessions to staff and managers.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and stay abreast of changes.
Conduct relevant reporting to authorities and government bodies as required to ensure compliance, e.g. Work Cover.
What you'll need to succeed
A Cert IV in WHS as a minimum
Knowledge of WHS legislation, Regulations, Codes of Practice and Standards
3-5 years' experience working in a dedicated WHS role
